We bring children and families together through play, creativity, outdoor adventures and shared experiences.
Many of our activities are completely free, thanks to our funders.
Our activities help families connect, build confidence, explore emotions and enjoy positive experiences together

Join us in our yurt and garden at The Lighthouse Project, Byker for relaxed, friendly sessions for children aged 2–8 and their grown-ups.
Connected Families is all about creating time to play, make, explore, share and connect together. Sessions include a changing mix of games, sensory and hands-on activities, crafts, stories, nature-based play and shared experiences.
There’s no pressure to complete every activity or stay for the whole session. Families can join in, explore, take a break and participate in whatever way works best for them.

Selected photographs will feature in our next children's book, with a prize for the best submission, chosen by our judging panel.
