At Family Mental Fitness North East CIC, our mission is simple:
to make early-help wellbeing support accessible for every child, young person and family who needs it, without long waits or unnecessary barriers.
We provide gentle 1–1 sessions, small group programmes and creative community activities across the North East, helping people feel safe, calm, expressive, connected and confident through our Better Together model.
Your support enables us to offer funded places for families who may otherwise struggle to access help.
Many families in our region face:
-long waits for specialist services
-rising stress, anxiety and isolation
-school absence linked to emotional needs
-financial barriers that prevent access to support
Early support makes a measurable difference.
Your contribution helps us provide:
-emotional support in calm, sensory-led environments
-creative programmes that build confidence
-family workshops that strengthen relationships
-movement and regulation groups to support self-esteem
-community wellbeing sessions that bring people together
Together, we can build confident, connected communities.
Sponsor a place on one of our programmes to ensure a child or family can attend at no cost. Your support directly removes financial barriers for those who need help most.
Choose a programme — such as Sleep Stars, Food Explorers, Read to Feel, or our Emotional Literacy groups — and fund its delivery in your community.
Sponsorship covers:
• qualified practitioner delivery
• resources and creative materials
• administration and evaluation
• community venue access
Businesses can partner with us through sponsorship, match-funding, team fundraising, or in-kind support. We provide: • partnership agreements • impact reports • case studies • optional wellbeing sessions for staff
Community Partnerships are welcomed from Schools, GPs, youth centres and local organisations who an work with us to offer funded places or co-deliver programmes within their setting.
For trusts, foundations, CSR teams and ward funders, we offer a full Funding & Partnership Pack including:
FMFNE Funding and Partnership Pack (pdf)
DownloadWe are grateful to the local businesses, organisations and individuals who have supported us through grants, donations and fundraising events, helping us provide more funded places for families who need our programmes.
Their generosity reflects the strength of our community and the shared belief that every child and family deserves support.
We are grateful to Newcastle City Council – Byker Ward, who have supported our work through ward funding.
Their contribution enables us to offer funded places for local families and start building long-term community provision.

We are proud to work with The Lighthouse Project, in Byker NE6, who provide our dedicated therapeutic space, a beautiful 5m Mongolian yurt, along with accessible community grounds and ongoing partnership support.
This collaboration allows us to deliver calming, creative and confidence-building programmes right in the heart of the community.
