A slow-paced, 45-minute family session focused on gentle connection, sensory calm, and shared moments of peace. Designed to be accessible for all ages, it blends soft movement, mindful breathing, peer massage, and simple art to help families feel more grounded together.
Example Session
- Welcome & Soft Settling (5 mins) – Families choose a cosy spot with mats, blankets, or cushions. Light introductions and choosing a “calm focus” object (smooth stone, feather, or shell) to hold during the session.
- Gentle Breath Awareness (5 mins) – Using feathers or bubbles to encourage slow, steady breathing in a playful way.
- Peer Massage (5–10 mins) – Simple shoulder, arm, or back massage through clothes (with consent), using easy strokes that children can give to a parent or sibling, helping everyone feel safe and cared for.
- Mindful Art (10–15 mins) – Creating a “calm feelings” picture using pastels, pencils, or watercolours, focusing on shapes, colours, and flow rather than finished results.
- Closing Relaxation (5–10 mins) – A gentle guided visualisation, such as sitting under a favourite tree or listening to waves, followed by a shared family affirmation (e.g., “We are calm. We are safe. We are together.”).
