Overview
LEGO®-Based Therapy is a highly structured, evidence-based programme that uses collaborative play to develop communication, problem-solving, and social skills in children. Sessions focus on teamwork roles (Builder, Supplier, Engineer) that rotate each week, ensuring all children practise listening, turn-taking, and expressing ideas.
Purpose
To build social confidence, improve communication, and foster positive peer interactions in a safe, supportive environment. The structured nature of the sessions helps children with social communication difficulties, autism, ADHD, or anxiety to thrive.
Impact
Children learn to work together towards a shared goal, developing patience, empathy, and negotiation skills. These improvements often transfer into classroom settings and home life, supporting better friendships and reduced social anxiety.
Outcome

The session ends with a “gallery tour” of their builds and a quick reflection. Children take home a mini LEGO challenge card to complete before the next session.
